ABOUT THE PRODUCT:

• The ‘sitting mat', or Zabuton or the base mat zafus is an extremely popular add-on prop/accessory for meditation sessions. Our zabuton mat comes prefilled with Kapok Cotton. This mat aids in providing a comfortable base for sitting.
• During meditation sessions, it provides essential cushioning for the feet, ankles and legs. We have used Kapok from the Nilgiris in South India for filling this zabuton as Kapok is a more ecological and hypoallergenic alternative to the typical cotton batting.
•  Dimensions: 32 by 32 Inches and thickness 2 Inches. The zafu is about 12 inch in diameter at the top and is one of our large zafus. Choose a filling for the zafu of your choice from buckwheat or kapok.
• This product is delivered to your doorstep by FedEx and DHL priority shipping.
•  Each Zabuton mat comes with an outer 100% cotton thick cover which is completely removable and machine washable. Available in multiple color options.
•  The covers of both zabuton and zafu are handwoven organic cotton fabric from our much loved blanket and zafu collection.
•  The meditation Mat or zabutons comes with a matching meditation round zafu cushion. The meditation support cushion complements the zabuton and provides a comfortable seating base for the meditation session. No more touching the floor with your feet or ankles. It is said that meditation should be performed only on a seta or asana to preserve the energy generated during the meditation session and prevent it from being ''grounded''.

Please note the square base mat is prefilled with Kapok Cotton but you have a choice to choose the filling for the smaller round cushion from buckwheat or cotton.

 How to Use this Mat?

•  Place this Zabuton mat on the floor and use it as an additional support layer below your cushion, bench, or blanket during the meditation session. Use the zafu support cushion on top of this meditation zabuton.
•  Use it for general sitting, lounging, working/reading (place your laptop/reading table) over it.
•  Asian homes have sitting arrangements for eating while sitting. These mats are excellent for that purpose as well.
